So couple years ago I 290 lb and I was able to lose 60 pounds but I have since gained some of that back and I'm now around 240.

I'm looking to lose around 50 lbs I have plans to travel this year I want to be healthier and happier for myself and my daughter. I'm a 32 yr old single mom. I am also Bipolar and that can sometimes set me back.

Which if any of you are bipolar you know how intense the list-making and schedules and detailed the plans can be and then you hit a low when it all falls apart. I want someone to help me be more reasonable and consistent. I'm looking for accountability and I'm looking for people who may be have the same struggles and issues as I do. Please feel free to add me.

I too have bipolar and in result I have had issues with my weight. I am here for you! I don't know about you, but having the swings makes day-to-day stuff very challenging (work, sleeping, hygiene etc.) and eating healthy is no different. Eating healthy and working out has only proven more difficult with me since my diagnosis so weight gain was a natural result of that. Sometimes it can be hard for others to understand how bipolar influences our weight. You got this! You're not alone.

I've been on medication for Bipolar type 2 now for 4 years and suffer long periods about 4 to 6 months, were I loose my interest in the things I love, and hobbies. I have lost 10lbs since using health mate linked to my fitness Pal.

Hi! I'm Chelsea. I'm bipolar too. I never thought about how weight issues and my diagnosis could be related! Hm!
I really like how you mentioned list making and detailed plans! I didn't think about it till now but I get very picky about my plans and they have to be perfect, if not, I feel like I failed and I get really agitated...like several days agitated. Wasn't sure if maybe it was just me. I'm about to go from working in a crazy stressful job to being a Stay at home mom....so I hope unloading the job will help with life! We shall see. But thank you for posting. I really appreciate it

It's an app by Withings now owned by Nokia, it links to the Nokia watch and Nokia weigh scales automatically collates steps, activity, calories from the smart watch, so it helps me to improve my fitness and lose weight.

I have been treated intermittently for depression for many years. About 18 months ago I went through a vicious attack at work that led to job loss, and since then I have had major depression and anxiety. I've had panic attacks, too, but Buspar and Wellbutrin have helped, and I lost about 40 pounds. Until recently, that is. About 3-4 months ago I began having intense sugar cravings. Nighttime eating, as in getting up in the middle of the night and eating a bowl of ice cream before I realize I've done it, has become a problem. I believe that it is a response to anxiety. Not only am I disappointed and ashamed, I have no appetite until lunchtime, and I'm gaining weight. This week a doctor asked if I ever thought I could be bipolar. The fact is, I have.
I make lists, too--grandiose plans that I will never achieve. Never knew this was a symptom. I make plans that exceed what is possible for me. If asked to bake one batch of cookies for a gathering I bake six different varieties. I have periods of what is probably hypomania where I have hope and dreams and I am creative. But it ends. I am not sure why.
I really want to get better. I want appropriate treatment, but I just cannot deal with weight gain from medication. Has anyone taken something that does not cause weight gain?
