Does anyone take a potassium supplement? Seems like I'm not getting enough potassium a day. MFP calls for 3,400mg and I'm barely getting a third of that. I looked at potassium pills today and they're only 99mg a piece? Help!

You might be getting more than you think. A lot of the entries don't have potassium filled out.

Oh lord. I guess I'll have to start keeping a better eye.

Even paying more attention to the entries may not help, as many companies don't even report potassium numbers on food labels. Unless your doctor has said you're deficient, I wouldn't worry about it.

And be cautious about supplementing if you have high blood pressure or heart disease. Both are affected by potassium levels. As I've learned from my parents' cardiologists. Talk to your doctor first.
