Toning and building muscle

Hi! So I'm almost at the end of my "weight loss" down almost 50lbs and 12 more to go. I really want to start gaining muscle and toning but not exactly sure how to go about it. I've been doing the treadmill and Hiit work outs in between. Do I need to eat certain foods to help build muscle too ? My skin is too lose for liking and want to tighten it up. Thanks !

Lift things, put them back down. Profit.
Find yourself a progressive strength training program.1 -
add in some resistance/strength training into your routine.
set your weight loss goal to lose 0.5lbs and expect to stall potentially as you retain water.
make sure you're getting adequate protein - 0.8g per lb of bodyweight2 -
You need to strength train...and while it's too late now, for anyone else reading, always begin strength training at the START of your weight loss. You will be much farther ahead and better off if you do.
There are no special foods, assuming you have been eating adequate protein thru your loss phase.4 -

@BusyRaeNOTBusty THANK YOU for this article. I have preached this for years, but now I have an article that explains it. I will be sharing this link far and wide. Thank you!

I just stole it recently from someone on the boards (can't remember who). It's great.0
