Another question about Macronutrient

Hello, I've been looking at some of the macronutrient calculators online (including mfp) and all have given different results. I'm not sure which one to use. Some of the results I've had is 40/40/20 50/20/30 50/30/20 48/27/25 45/45/10 why do they a differ so much and which one is best?

The best one is the one that gives you sufficient protein and fat, makes you feel good, happy, satisfied and satiated. Your physique goal is probably more determined by your calorie goal.1

There are no, "best" numbers. Experiment and find one that works for you as an individual. Some thrive on high carb, low fat and protein; others on low carb, high fat; still others on a more balanced mix. Unless you have a medical condition that is improved by reducing a certain macro, pick what works for you, or don't worry about macros at all and concentrate only on calories.0 -
I think a better approach is not to go by percentages...
A good rule of thumb is to get around .8 grams of protein per lbs total weight, .35-.45 grams of fat per lbs total body weight and fill in the rest with carbs. Shoot for 15 grams of fiber per 1000 calories.
As far as total calories, for maintenance, 14 - 16 calories x height in centimeters is a good starting point and for weight loss 12 - 14 calories x height in centimeters is a good starting point.
Start there and see how it goes. Make adjustments if necessary...0 -
