Are You Drinking Enough Water?

I am supposed to drink 1/2 my body weight in water, that means 94 oz a day. I'm having trouble getting in all my water. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions will be appreciated

    Keep working at it. I drink that much, and I'm at a maintenance weight.

    You can put fruit or cucumber slices in it. I used to drink water with lemon. Perrier is a favorite of mine, too. :smile:

    I start my day with 24 ounces. Then I fill a pitcher with 64 ounces and make sure I drink that whole thing during the rest of the day. Couple cups of coffee, and that does it.

    With that said, I don't think I really need that much, I do it because it helps me not eat.

    I typically drink 128-136oz/day and I only weigh 145lbs, but I work in extreme heat for 8hrs and spend another hour in the gym or exercising outside after work so I be sure to stay well hydrated. I don't flavor the water with anything either, maybe that could help you get more down.

    If you find a water you really enjoy, that can help. For me, that's non-sweet sparkling waters such as la Croix. Personally I think uncaffeinated tea counts as water too (though others may not agree), so sometimes I'll make big pitchers of iced tea and have that, which particularly helps on weekends. I don't like my tea sweetened but sometimes I'll add some lemon.

    On weekdays, I bring a 24oz travel cup to work. I make sure to finish one of those cups before lunch, one after lunch, and one on the way home. Plus the water I have once I get home (usually the sparkling ones)

    Making plain water tastier can help too if you're not a huge fan of water. Berries, cucumber & mint, lemon & lime, etc.

    Why are you supposed to drink that much water?
