Do any of you eat a TON of fiber?

I was looking over my diary and see that I get 110g-150g of fiber every single day. Does anyone else eat this much fiber? How is your digestion? Wondering if anyone else eats this much fiber and has had their body adjust.

I do. My digestion is good, but I do take a Gas X after lunch to play it safe at the office. Also, can't make it thru a full run without a pit stop.

Heck not! that much fiber would keep be grounded in the toilet the whole week. Most of the time my daily total is between 21 and 25. And I am doing fine.

You must eat a lot of carbs to eat such a high amount of fiber.

I eat a lot of bars with 15-17g fiber (3-5 a day), plus a ton of veggies, lots of pumpkin, lots of high fiber wraps (I like them for taste not because I am trying to get so much fiber lol).

Without the bars I would be around 60-70 a day.

Thanks, yeah I go nicely 1-2x a day, but was wondering if it was doing a number on my insides or was bad for me long term.

I get 40-60g per day on average. Closer to 40 if none of my foods are processed things with added inulin. I eat a lot of berries, legumes, and flax.

My max is 60g,I usually hover between 30-40g. I would eat 2 or 3 Quest bars every single day if i had the spare calories and $$$.

I only experience problems with a high fibre day if i don't also drink lots of water along with it, it tends to block me up without adequate fluid.

The recommended amount for women under age 50 is 25g a day...there are risks with super high fiber. Does your doctor know how much fiber you eat?

I eat about 35-50g per day on 1800 calories.

How many calories/day do you eat? I have 30-40g/day on average and that keeps things running smoothly!

I eat 2100-2600 range. Depends on how hungry I am and how much I exercise.

I drink a ton of water. Counting all liquids like coffee about 130-160ish oz a day

I thought I ate a lot - have looked at my history and I usually eat 40-50g per day maxing out around 60g but all from whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, legumes and wholegrains. I have looked into it a little before and the only adverse effects I can find (provided your gut is coping and functioning properly) is malabsorption of some nutrients such as iron, zinc, calcium and magnesium where fibre intake regularly exceeds 50g a day so you may want to think about your intake of these nutrients. I figured that I am borderline so should be OK.

Looking at my diary, on average I have about 20g fibre. I eat a cereal most days called fruit & fibre. daily calories average about 1500 and I cut down on coffee to drink more water. Digestion is normal.

I tend to hit between 70-120 per day, depending upon my veggie selection. No digestion issues, other than the standard broccoli farts.
