Is there a way I can get "friend just added newfriend as a friend!" NOT to go on my wall/in my feed?

    Only if your friends turn their notification for it off. Unfortunately, it's set up so you individually control what actions of your own post on your wall, but can't toggle what actions of others show.

    You can't stop it appearing in your feed unfortunately.
