When I was a kid in the Hamptons, in the 1960s, there was a timeless piece of grafitti on a railroad trestle over Route 114, going northwest out of East Hampton village, that said, "Virgil is a frog boy." It was there as long as I can remember, until sometime in the 80s (I think...), when the LIRR did some major track work and repainted the trestle. Not long after that, a new grafitto appeared: "Virgil is still a frog boy." Any true denizen of the Hamptons should know this piece of local lore...

    For me it was in large storm drainage pipe, large enough that you could ride your bikes in. Someone had spray painted a naked woman inside - no head, arms or legs, just the figure 8 portion but with boobs.

    For a kid of bike-riding age, that was something to behold.
