Feeling of Guilt

A little old lady who lives in my neighborhood, stopped by today. She came bearing an enormous cheesecake, with assortment of flavors. She suggests coffee, cake, and conversation. I couldn't say no. She is a widow, lives alone, and I have been having terrible boughts of binging. This episode was unavoidable. Any other suggestions for the less pressing episodes? I'm on the treadmill as I type. 280 calories to burn

A suggestion that I'm going to attempt in July: baking healthier versions of loved desserts/baked goods. Perhaps you could take a healthier cake down to her, for you both to enjoy; or, if she visits again, have something on standby. It's a good launching point for discussion.
I totally get the bouts of bingeing, so when I do bake from old-school cookbooks/recipes (full of fat, calories, carbs, etc.) I make sure to distribute them to friends a.s.a.p. to keep temptation at bay. I can eat *some* but not *all*.
Good luck with it and I hope the suggestion helps.0
