What's a reasonable amount of calories for 250ml of milkshake to contain?
I guessed 300kcal - about 130 calories for the semi-skimmed milk, and another 150 or so for flavourings.
I made a dreadful mistake.
512 kcal?!?!
I'm utterly horrified. An innocent little milkshake, good for my bones, and a treat for a Friday, and it's all gone pear shaped, a bit like my hips
Lesson learned, back to wading the around the internet for nutrition charts before I order anything!!
All sympathy appreciated! Emailing the culprits now!

In the U.S. milkshakes are made with ice cream and whole milk, so at least it's worth it! The first time I ordered a milkshake in NZ I was sorely disappointed...0

I'm in the UK, so it was ice, milk, and a shed load of sweeteners and other chemicals. It was nice, but not worth the calories, that's two slices of cake or 5 bags of crisps!0
