Stubborn 6kg to lose for Mount Ventoux

This summer I am going to realise a lifetime ambition to cycle up Mount Ventoux, one of the iconic Tour de France climbs. I would like to be confident that I am as light as possible. I've never been lighter than 70Kg since I was sixteen. That is my ultimate goal before the summer, but I would be happy under 72kg to be honest. 6kg doesn't sound much to lose but appears very stubborn to shift. However since I have been tracking calories, I have seen some progress, so am hoping myFitnessPal will help out. Any help appreciated. BL.
