Gaining Weight

Hi friends!
I've been doing MFP for a couple weeks now after cancelling my weight watchers smart points program. Unfortunately, even after staying within my calories 90% of that time, I'm gaining instead of losing. I've also walked/worked out almost every day and increased water.
Any thoughts/suggestions? Also, has anyone had a similar experience and it reversed?
I'm used to weighing myself weekly but maybe a daily weigh in is what I need to log.
Anyway, tips are appreciated! Thanks!!!

I'm on Week 6 of MFP and the scale says I've gained 2 pounds in one week! I've increased my workouts from 3 times a week to 6 times a week. I drink lots of water and stay within my calorie goal every day. SO... the same thing happened to me at Week 3, and my experience is that this is normal. My weigh-ins show a downward trend with occasional blips like this one. I've taken some of the advice from these forums and don't eat back more than 75% of the calories allowed for exercising. So yes, you will break out of this stall, hang in there!

To do MFP means that you accurately, honestly, and completely log everything you eat. There are no free foods. When you do this, you document whether or not you are in a calorie deficit. When your daily calorie deficit accumulates to 3500, you should see that you've lost 1 lb, but you probably won't. Here's why. Water is dense and your body is a wild and wacky reservoir of water that rises and falls under the influence of your hormones, your electrolytes, your stress, your moods and your injuries. Since any of us can intake and output as much as 10 lb of water every day, your ability to detect a 1 lb loss of fat with a consumer-grade scale is limited. Be patient and trust the numbers.5
