Hi! I made an account so i could ask this question.

The fat on my stomach has suddenly gone soft and jiggly. I havent been restricting or counting my calories recently, last week i had been running/walking for hours and gone to the gym but eating alot junk too.
This week i havent been as active but i have been gardening and gone to the gym once.

I dont think i have been eating so much these few weeks to have gained weight but i dont know how long it takes to gain fat? (i havent gained weight in years so i dont know how to tell.)
I have eaten very much and alot of junk, but even on high calorie days around 2000+ calories. Can i have actually gained visible fat?

My clothes feel akward on me but not any tighter, my stomach fat just is jiggly and soft and feels disgusting and looks weird in my clothes.

This has happened to me before when i went on a skii trip for a week. I ate alot and exercised very much, felt like i got fatter and my fat turned jiggly. Once i got home to my scale i had actually lost weight.

Could i be going trough the same thing as then? How can i tell if ive gained weight without my scale? Has anyone else gone trough similar? Im really stressed over this... :---(

I recently started all the exercising/walking/running i mentioned, could that have something to do with this?

It could just be water weight fluctuation. When you increase exercise you may have a bit more water weight around for a bit.

I've never experienced the whole jiggly fat as a precursor to a noticeable "whoosh" so I can't really help you there.

Sounds like the often noticed phenomenon of a "whoosh" about to happen.

The feel of the fat already gone has taken on a different feel, and any weight changes are from water.
Which is about to whoosh out and lower scale weight.

Many times noticed after being in a diet (perhaps you were with increased activity and didn't realize it) and retaining water, and after eating carb heavy or alcohol will cause it.

And yes, fat is not fast, gained or lost.

The rough 3500 calories per lb is decent rough estimate. So it would take a week of eating 1000 calories more than maintenance each and every day to gain 2 lbs.
And your body would initially speed some things up to cause it to not truly be 1000 more.

And if starting exercise - yes you gain water weight for several reasons.
But the fat aspect you describe is something else.
