Has this happened to you?

Funky tailbone rugburn - that's right folks, I'm talking about rug burn at the top of the tailbone after doing a ridiculous amount of v-sits, Russian twists, bicycle crunches, and other similar moves. I do my workout on a thicker mat but I noticed it the other day after a particularly intense workout. Could it be my form? I feel like I do the exercises correctly, I did recently add weights to my twists, but this is the first time it's ever happened.

Has anyone else experienced this? What caused it? How did you cure it? I'm bored with standing core work and want to get back on my mat!
Thanks for your help ~ Tabitha

I can barely do any sitting abs. My bone structure just isn't made for that. Some moves are ok, but others, no. I have even pinched my tailbone badly just trying to sit on the floor from standing. If I'm in a class and it starts rubbing badly, I'll just switch on my own to mountain climbers or standing abs, just something off my tailbone. It's not worth the bruises and scabs.

On the other hand, I can do all the moves in Jillian Michaels' 6 week 6 pack abs level 1. Maybe try that video...

No. I don't do crunches. I can't imagine why it would happen unless you were doing them naked on a rug.

Thank you for your replies - after talking it over the husband and I think it might have been a result of the lace thong I was wearing that day! Lol, lesson learned.
