I am in need to shred around 20 lbs of weight and need some inspiration on how to do so. I was wondering if anyone can talk about tips, tricks, or even routines you all used to lose weight?

20 lbs is a great number - i still have over 50 left to go! you can do it!!!
my thoughts:
i eat between 1200-1400 cal a day depending on my exercise amounts, the more i exercise the more i eat.
i go to the gym for weight lifting twice per week.
i do a HIIT routine 7 days a week.
i do elliptical machine 5 days a week.
(i didn't answer your question about the "journey"
i weighed 200 lbs, lost 10, now have lost about 14 more, still have over 50 to go to reach goal.
i try very hard every single day, i give myself one day per week to drink wine, or eat ice cream or some other treat, otherwise i stick to my very healthy diet routine 6 days per week. i had tacos, queso, candied pecans and wine last night!)
the tip i would share is: it doesn't happen overnight. even with 20 lbs, give yourself time and be patient. some weeks i actually gain weight even though it makes NO SENSE whatsoever. hang in there)

Fill out mfp accurately. Follow it's recommendations. Use a food scale for accuracy.1

Punch your stats into MFP and do as it says. That's all.0
