What size dumbbells should I get to start working out at home? I'm 283 lbs trying to get down to like 200. Should I get 2 (20lbs) or 2 (25lbs)?

Weight loss happens in the kitchen.2

My bad I know that as well. Well for strength training then.0

Weight loss does happen in the kitchen, but if you want to purchase dumbbells, choose based on what you want to spend and how much space you have to store components. If you've never heard of kettlebells, learn about those before you spend money on dumbbells.
You won't be satisfied with 2 (anything) because after a few days of lifting, curling, snatching, pressing or swinging, you'll be stronger and want something heavier.0 -
Just get some cheap adjustable dumbbells like THESE and you can make them what you want.2

get something that you can do more with than a set of dumbbells. Look into a suspension trainer like a TRX. One set of dumbells isn't gonna get you very far.2
