I'm on the verge of ordering a Garmin Fenix 5.

Anyone got one who can tell me anything they think I should know?

I'm mad about running (longest run 30 km in March but aiming for longer).

I also do a lot of hiking (did 80 km in 2 days two weeks ago), walking, swimming, yoga, and have started HIIT and might do some Spin soon.

Leaning towards the 5 (not the 5S or 5X).

I've had a secondhand Garmin Forerunner 225 since December 2015, but it's rubbish at any other sport than running.

I'm thinking about replacing my 630 with either the 5x or the 935. I'm leaning toward the 5x because of the maps/turn by turn directions. IMO, the other Fenix watches are not worth it. If I had to choose between the others and the 935 I would go with the 935.

My only reservation is the size and weight of the 5x. The other Fenix watches are not as big and heavy.

I'll decide what I'm doing sometime this year. Maybe. :D

I ended up getting a Fénix 3. Other than the optical heart rate and less battery life I didn't see much difference with the new 5.

OP here again. I ordered the Fenix 5.

"Up to 24 hours in GPS mode or up to 60 hours in UltraTrac™ battery saver mode"!

Decided I didn't need the 5X's maps, since I always carry my phone which has Avenza maps not to mention Google and Apple maps.

I love my 5X. I've been using it for a couple months now and couldn't be happier with it. Hope you feel the same about yours.

@NorthCascades Cheers! I found some good posts you'd written which helped me decide on a Fenix. Thanks!!

Mine should arrive on Monday. I might have a few questions after that!

It arrived, and I love it!

I've used it twice for running, twice for walking, and once for swimming. So impressed by how it knew how many pool laps I'd done.

Putting a link to the details here for my future reference:
