Back pain

Hello everyone, apparently I hurt myself doing kettlebells. I have a nagging pain in my lower back that has been going on for a few days. I realized that I need to go to the doctor. The question I have is, which doctor should I see? Orthopedist? GP? I have a medical plan that allow me to go straight to the specialist if I choose to. Any tip you can provide (both for the doctor and for the back pain) will be greatly appreciated.

I'd go to a sports doctor or sports medicine clinic.

Which kettlebell exercise do you think did it?

Thank you, I will. Kettlebell swings. I knew right away that I injured my back. I tried to rest and ice, but the pain still there. I have a very good sports doctor that treated my shoulder in the past. I'll go see him.

I often avoid kettle bell swings. Even though I feel
Like I've been coached properly, I just think it could be a recipe for disaster. I just do kettle bell straight leg deadlifts instead. Swings aren't worth it to me to have an injured back.

    Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for the wishes. I'm not a big fan of the kettlebells myself, but I saw a video that made the swings look easy, so I tried and now I'm suffering the consequences. The bummer is that I was in good rhythm training for a 10K and doing the stronglifts program before this injury. Now I have to wonder how long will I be inactive.

Once this is over, try yoga to strengthen your back? I have found it very effective.
