How much water weight can an obese person have?

I identify with the problem of not feeling thirsty (honestly, what's with that? I would never survive in the wild!) - but the idea that there's a universal rule of thumb for how much water a person should drink is poppycock. It would have to apply equally to me, a sedentary person in Scotland, and to a farmer or builder in Arizona or Alice Springs. That is silly. Different lifestyles, different climates, different water needs.
Go by the pee test. If it's too dark, drink more. If it's clear, drink less. You're going for pale straw colour. If you want a guide to how many floz or litres to drink a day, just take a note of how many you drank and what color your pee was. Then make your own target from there.1 -
The only problem with carbs is that I eat too many. Like the entire basket of tortilla chips at the Mexican restaurant, pizza with dough nuggets- lots of dough nuggets, the entire loaf of garlic bread with my spaghetti, etc.... I just LOVED the carbs! It was only when I got a food scale and measured things into grams that it all "clicked." Yes it was the carbs that made me put on the weight because I was eating an asinine amount of them!0
