Hi! My name is Holly. I have been using MFP off and on for a while but find it hard to stick too. I have three kids, and after the last one (now 2yrs) I have really been struggling to get the weight off. I am now over 50 lbs overweight. I have been tracking diligently for 9 days now and I feel great about it. I have been running and I am starting Crossfit again today. I have done that in the past and loved it. Besides losing the weight, one of my goals is to get my squats back up to around 120lbs. Are there anymore female lifters here?

    Hi Holly (and Lee) Welcome!
There's a ton of lifters here for sure.

What part do you find hard to stick to? what throws you off?

I find having a strong "why" helps. Why do you want this? Why do you want that first goal? (break it into small steps). ADD Before Delete. Add something good to your process and then 'take out something bad'. Many will fail when too many changes happen at once. It's a lifestyle change, not a sprint.

Make sure you're eating Enough. Cravings hit hard when there's not enough fuel for the body if too much is cut at the same time as asking the body to move more. Yup - that's how weight loss happens, and how cravings hit.

    You can do it!!!

Feel free to send a friend request if you'd like. :)

I think thing the hardest part for me is that most of the time I go at it really really strict for a few weeks and mess up once and then give up. I am trying really hard this time to be more forgiving to myself. Either work treats in with my macros or not feeling too guilty if I go a couple hundred cals over. Maybe not going to the gym EVERYDAY. I have a lot of hope that I will make it further this time! Thanks for your encouragement.
