So, I'm doing slimming world mixed with calorie counting!
On a Saturday night, I will have a few drinks and a little cheat meal nothing to heavy. However, it takes me a full week to go back to the weight I was before this meal. So for example, I was 13.11 on Saturday, went up to 14.2 on Monday and today I'm back down to 13.13 - but this will mean by this Saturday I won't have lost anything all week due to this small cheat meal and a few drinks?
Can someone tell me what's happening?

How many calories over your goal are you going on Saturdays? If you don't have much of a deficit, it's possible to knock it out with with a meal and some drinks.2

Not many at all! I stick to about 1400-1500 a day then on a Saturday maybe about 2000?0

Does "maybe" mean you aren't logging your cheat meals and you're guessing it's about 2,000? Or is that an average based on logging?
How did you come up with your calorie goal? Is that from MFP? Do know how how much your deficit is?1 -
You need to know exactly how many calories your cheat meal is.0

I wouldn't even class it as a cheat meal - it's like a bread role or some crisps? Could it be the alcohol? It's like when I eat anything I put on like 4 pounds0

You're eating 500 calories of bread or crisps and alcohol? Or when you log it all, it consistently comes to 500 extra calories all together?
Alcohol won't, in and of itself, stop someone from losing weight. But calories from alcohol can contribute to you not reaching a deficit.0 -
What type of alcohol are you drinking, and how many glasses? Speaking in very general terms, a glass of light beer has about 90-100 calories, 1 shot of dark liquor has 75-100 calories (depending on the proof), and a glass of wine could have about 110-130 calories.
Having 2-3 drinks of any of the above adds up FAST! Like above poster said "alcohol" itself won't stop weight loss, but it's so calorie dense it's very easy to not realize how far a few glasses can set you back.1
