Been trying to jumpstart my metabolism....

So...I've been mildly working out (hard to do this week...had a procedure done that made me rather worthless from Wednesday to today), but I've been doing 2 hemp protein shakes a day (with fruits, veggies and almond milk) and a healthy meal for either lunch or dinner (a fish or tofu with veggies and salad).

My body has been through some crap these past 3 years. With the stress of my failing marriage (which isn't over yet ...still trying to salvage things)....I had a 7 pound benign tumor on my ovary which was removed (along with ovary). I had surgery the previous year for fibroids and cysts...and probably will have surgery again soon (the cyst is back--- I have Endometriosis).

During that time, I wanted to heal myself. I figured out that my body HATE gluten. I stopped eating it almost 2 years ago and haven't had the chronic pain since (joints, jaw, headaches, stomach cramps). I also learned that endo feeds off soy so I have to really watch my soy intake.

These are TWO MAIN INGREDIENTS in almost everything! Soy and wheat.

I also learned that my body doesn't like meat. I do eat fish but meat makes me sluggish and tired and crampy.

Anyhoo....I noticed that I had to do something to just get back into the game. So I began making smoothies with some organic hemp protein powder from Trader Joe's. It's awesome. It has 3 ingredients ( I try to buy things with 5 or less ingredients that I can pronounce haha)....and I'm full all day and I feel better....Hemp is also said to regulate hormones. Awesome.

So...here's to 6 days of smoothies....I'll work out next week when I'm not laying in bed sore and with cramps.

Hi! Sorry that life has been a little hard on you. But I think it's absolutely wonderful the way you have taken charge of it. I definitely see progress in your photos! I hope you haven't been under 1200 calories a day though.
Anyway, you look great, I'm so impressed by your incredibly self aware lifestyle, and good luck to your continuing weight loss!

    :)

    Thanks :)

I stay at about 1400 calories a day...sometimes 1500. Once i can do more active shet, it will be better.

And yea. i did lose a TON of weight easily a few years back....was down to my goal. Then....health issues. It's hard to fight hormones that WANT you to gain weight. omg. I gained 30 pounds in a few months with that stupid tumor. Not fun.

But I'm on my way and not giving up. I have a loving and supportive family and life is good :)
