I lost 6 lbs last week my first weigh in...3 days after, I'm up 2! I've logged every bite, lick and sip. I've drank enough water to float a boat, I've excercised some[ waiting on knee surgery]...I've not once went over my calorie range! The only thing I can think of is I was at several dr visits and drank diet sodas(which I pretty much gave up) and lots of fresh fruit...not alot of choices with fast food and hospital cafeterias! Help...

A lot of what you lose at the beginning is water weight as you start making different choices. Water fluctuates constantly. Yes, fast food and cafeteria offerings possibly contributed to it as they're higher in sodium (diet soda is not, so it wouldn't have made a difference), but this is something that will keep happening.

Weight loss is not linear. Even when everything is done correctly, some weeks you will lose, some you will gain, and some you will maintain due to factors such as water retention, new exercise, time of the month, etc.

It's recommended to get a weight trending app like TrendWeight to see the overall downwards trend rather than get caught up in fluctuations.

Yes, thank you! One of my downfalls is I focus TOO much on the scales! I'm used to weighing myself everyday as a morning routine, pee-weigh-meds-coffee! lol
