I am asking from experienced people about a situation I am going through now. I'm super unhealthy. No excuses just I am. I don't drink much water at all. I might get 8 glasses of 8 ounces every month. I have been getting horrible headaches that won't even go away with over the counter meds anymore. I started looking today and thought I might be dehydrated. I have had a million other side effects than just headaches but I'm wondering if anyone has increased their water intake and saw the amount of headaches go down?

Yes, I have gotten dehydration headaches. Only one way to find out. Start drinking more.
Surely you drink other liquids? How about sodas, coffee, milk? They all count towards hydration too.1 -

Yes. I sometimes had mild headaches and a general feeling of fatigue. I upped my water consumption and found that those headaches didn't happen very often (regular headaches, not migraines for me). I also don't get as fatigued. Another benefit: drinking a full glass of water when I feel like snacking decreases my appetite and I don't eat as much. Caffeine withdrawal is a thing, but I switched to Coke Zero and saved a ton of calories per day. I also have a cup of coffee between 2 pm and 3 pm, and avoid headache that way.0

It sounds like dehydration but with migraines it is important to see a doctor. I have chronic migraines and they can be a serious medical problem.0 -
My dad had headaches. The doctor told him his blood pressure was through the roof. Make sure your doctor knows about your headaches. When was your last visit?0
