Hi.

Im not really a big fan of counting calories or waching what I eat however my main goal is to gain weight and tone up through training. My daily calorie goal is 3780 and I really struggle to get anywhere near that as I have a very active lifestyle with running, cycling and dog walking.

Any help on this matter would be very grateful as I am a newbe to MFP.

Thanks in advance.

hate to say it, but only real way to do this is by counting calories, otherwise you'll just guess and you will have NO idea how much more you need to eat in your day. But try doing it your way and just eat when your hungry and see how that goes for you, I know for me that did NOT work at all. Sorry but that's really how it is.

Isn't the op saying they ARE now counting calories though?
Op there's a sticky at the top of the forum, under best posts, called Are you a hard gainer ?(I can't copy the link on my phone) which has some great tips. Basically eat calorie dense food!

If you want to gain weight, but struggle to reach the required calories, you'll have to try harder or run and cycle less.
