Hi ! New to MFP - and want to lose just over a stone - and then maintain a sensible weight.
I've already lost about 1 1/2 stone with weight watchers. Time for a different approach.
Top tips from those of you doing the same will be appreciated.
I'm a 60 year old female. Quite active - horse riding, dog walking and gym.

Former WWer here, and my biggest tip is - get out of the mindset that fruit and veg are "free". It was I had the most difficulty doing, to be honest.

Really, the programs are very similar, you're measuring and logging everything you eat and staying at or under your allowance for the day. WW tends to add punishment points to things though, where calorie counting is very objective.

Thank you for your comment. I think ww really works if you have a lot of weight to lose - but struggling with the last stone. I previously got to goalbut couldn't maintain. When I gained again I was eating healthy food - so I think the free food , particularly fruit had a lot to do with that.
I'm not doing anything hugely different with MFP - although I've noticed the advised split of carbs / protein / fat will mean I eat more carbs.
The final straw was the unreliability of the app.
    Fingers crossed !
