MFP calorie adjustment?

Whats the deal with this calorie adjustment under exercise? It gives me bonus calories when i do enough physical activity but i don't understand why or if i should be eating them back? Today i did 20 mins of mountain biking to burn 90 cals, and ran 3km to burn about 120 cals. It gave me an extra 126 cals through an adjustment. I'm worried it will over estimate what i can eat since it already over estimates calories burned and I have to override it in half.

Mfp gives you your goal with the deficit built in assuming you do no exercise. When you do exercise that increases your deficit so you are supposed to eat the exercise calories back. Exercise calorie burns can be overestimated so a lot of people will revommend that you start by eating back half and after about 4 weeks reevaluate. If you are losing faster than expected then you should eat back more of the exercise calories and if you are not losing as fast as you expect them eat back less.
