Starting Over

Hi I'm Xander (female). I am starting at 5'1", 160 lbs. My goal weight is 124 lbs. I've been putting on weight since puberty & have never been able to take it off. Two years ago, I went on Medifast but only lasted for 8 weeks. Part of the problem was that I lived with my my mother, who is a chronic diet saboteur. I tried to convince her to lose weight with me, but it didn't last. Now that I no longer live with her, I'm returning to Medifast (6 meals daily) & adding 2 nutritional shakes daily for a total of 980 calories. I'm adding daily exercise, walking. My challenge, like that of most people, is learning to transition to normal food once I achieve my goal. I'm not big on cooking & I MUST learn to do that for myself, to stay healthy & keep the weight off. I want to learn to cook, but I'm a picky eater, so that's a challenge. Glad to be here to start my journey.
