Hey, y'all. I've been so busy with my midwife apprenticeship that I've gotten out of the habit of working out.
I love martial arts (especially sparring), swimming, bike riding, swing dancing, trampoline jumping...
I'd love some fun friends to keep it interesting and some badass friends to keep it challenging.

Yay for you!! I just finished nursing school. So I can understand the stress and everything getting put on the back burner. I think I put on about 30 lbs during school because all I did was study and that usually involved snacking. Best of luck to you in midwifery and loosing weight!

Uhm, I'm already in love with you. Midwife apprenticeship? So jealous! I've had four babies naturally, one at home :) Best of luck to you not only in weight loss, but in your career!

Awesome. RN student here. I'm going on level 2 next semester. It does get stressful but I want to be healthy because I know all the complications that can arise from being overweight. I want to set an example for my future patients. I don't want to be an overweight nurse!! Good luck y'all.

Thank you! (I typed out a reply but it didn't post it all, and now I can't remember what I typed! Something along the lines of being called to this for years before finally answering the call, lol.)
I've been a RN for 20 years, but the path I'm on is CPM. CNMs don't attend home births where I live, and that's where my heart is.

Good for you for making time to be healthy while you are still in school! And best of luck to you!

I was a CNA at one point, but my path went into a different direction for a time. Mostly because I decided it was best to finish having children before I started school again, but hopefully in the next 1-2 years I'll be enrolled in an RN program as well. While my dream is to do something where I'm able to attend home births, I would be happy with any form of birth or even more so in a hospital setting, Neonatal <3

Doula work is a good option, too. I have lots of doula friends who attend both hospital and home births, and if you work with an agency you can share call. (I hope I can someday find someone to share call with!)
