Martial artists--what are you working on?

I've been overwhelmed with responsibilities the past year and a half, but I'm ready to carve out some time for myself now. Martial arts has always been my passion, and it's high time I started working toward my 2nd dan!
What are you working toward? How do your daily workouts look? Give me some inspiration, and add me to your friend list. Please and thank you.

Short term: I am competing at the Masters (over 30) World BJJ Championships at the end of August.

After that, I will be aiming to take a few local MMA fights before I am too old. (I do need to work on my rusty striking though, as I have been really focusing on my grappling for the last few years)

I train 7 to 10 times a week, and I love it. I get really antsy when I can't train. BJJ/MMA is the reason I dropped 85lbs and am in the best overall shape of my life at age 42. It has been a life changer.

It took me until my late 30s before I found "my thing," but I never feel so alive or "me" as when I am trying to prevent someone from choking me asleep. LOL.

Awesome! Good luck on your competition! I'll look forward to seeing the results!
I've trained off and on for around 15 years, was training 6-7 days a week before I started my midwifery apprenticeship. No competing, just the pure satisfaction of being a middle-aged woman with 7 kids and able to hang tough with "the guys."

    I totally get that.
