so I tend to have odd hours and was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.
I sleep from 8am to 5pm so how would you log food, as MY day or just when it changes don't change it. I've been logging it as 'yesterday' after midnight.

You don't have to log foods in 24hr periods, the body doesn't overly care.
I would log my food consistently each day at the time I eat it and it'll work itself out especially if you normally eat the same type of meals etc.0 -
You sleep 9 hours? That's amazing. Can't remember last time I slept that long!0

Just rename your meals to 4 hour time periods.0
