Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I keep slowly gaining. I am sure I am staying in my calorie limit. Logging everything I eat/drink, but I keep gaining. I exercise daily and have been eating the amount of calories that MFP tells me I should eat including the activity calories. Yesterday, I ate maybe 200 over the allotted calories as it was 4th of July and I allowed some ice cream (logged it) and 1 and a half 65 calorie beers . . . Today I am up 0.8lbs from yesterday morning. I am beyond frustrated.

How are you defining keep gaining? How much have you gained over what period of time because your body can fluctuate daily, weekly and monthly. I tend to be my lightest on Sundays. Don't know why, but it's consistent.

As well as the questions above,

Many people recommend only eating a portion of exercise calories back as burns can be exaggerated.

And, how do you determine what you eat? Are you weighing all solids and measuring all liquids? Are the database entries you use accurate?

It the passed week I have gained almost 3lbs. I have lost 130 about 18 years ago, and know I can be obsessive. But so scared it will creep back on.

You need to measure weight loss over a long period of time.... look at it from a 4-6 week period and then again. There are a lot of factors when it comes to "weight" loss; glycogen levels, amount of waste in your GI track, sodium, TOM (for women), etc... it's no different than the tides of waters (there are highs and lows).

I am weighing and measuring most foods. When I can't do that I have a tendency to overestimate my portions (trying to be on the safe side)

keep eating in a deficit, make sure you're drinking enough water and be more patient.

why only most? and when you say "weigh and measure" what are you weighing and what are you measuring with cups/spoons?? this is most likely where your problem is..

Well if I am out at a friend's house or a restaurant measuring can be difficult. I use a scale, measuring cups/spoons when I am preparing my own meals.

I know my water intake is not where it should be. I used to be much better at that.

A week is not long enough to say you've been gaining and you are most likely seeing water weight fluctuations. I'll weigh low one day then show a gain of 5 lbs the next which is why I weigh myself daily. I'd recommend giving it more time and keeping yourself hydrated. Good luck with your goals.
