Synching running app with custom exercise in MFP

I have custom workouts, mainly for running in MFP. Those are based on experience and are much more reliable than the overinflated calories MFP gives me. Whenever I upload an exercise I need to go to MFP and use my custom exercise for running with the appropriate length. Is there a way to synch an app to custom exercises to start with? I guess the answer is no, but it's worth a shot. In case: I'm using ismoothrun for running.

No, in my experience if the database doesn't recognise the workout it doesn't matter what app you are using. e.g. I log a run or a swim or stair stepper or circuit with my Apple Watch, no problem, call it HIIT and it never gets logged.0

I thought so. I was about to create a custom workout in my running app with the same name as my custom run here. But I guess there's no need to try. Oh well... I might either stop synching and do everything by hand, or continue, then delete and upload the right workout type.0
