Hey guys! Summer is in full swing, and vacations can be especially difficult when trying to lose weight and get healthy. Can we share challenges and ways to overcome them?

I just got back from 2.5 weeks in Europe and managed to only gain 1.5 lbs, which might just be water, which I'm really happy with! But strangely, my tongue got really sore and cracked while I was gone. Anyone else get that? Why does this happen and what makes it better?
And the jet lag (6 hour difference) has me wanting to eat ALL THE TIME! I'm sure it's a combination of being tired and my body not knowing which meal time it is.
Another success, I did not pig out on ice cream/gelato every day! I usually shared a one scoop cone with my 2 year old and was perfectly satisfied with that. Go me!

The tongue issue is prob change in diet or dehydration. As I just learned, Eurpoean restaurants are not generous with water, lol! When did you get back? I lost 7 lbs of water weight the first week back from Europe recently. Portion control and activity are your friends, especially on vaca!

I'm betting you walked a lot in Europe. I'm trying to reinvigorate my water intake, seems like the hardest thing to stick to. I need some sort of shock collar that won't go off until I drink water.

Could be something you ate. Bananas will do that to me. Great job not gaining a ton of weight
