Thought I'd look into chatting with other women who are in situations similar to mine. I just turned 78 (two days ago) and am anticipating the coming year which I have not done in a long time. After back surgery in January, I gained about ten pounds added to the extra ten pounds I was already wearing. I have now lost 15 pounds and feel like I have a new life since my surgery has given me relief like I haven't had in almost 20 years. My goal right now is to incorporate exercise into my life. My back made it impossible to do much, especially over the last year. But now I'm ready and willing but know that I need a push.

This is inspiring! You could easily let your surgery stop you, but you didn't. This is very encouraging to me. Keep up the good work!0
