It's the little wins that keep me motivated

Some things that made me feel really happy about my progress the past couple of week:

1.) I grabbed a t-shirt I had forgotten I have from my dresser. Wore it all day and didn't think anything of it (and actually thought it looked pretty good when I caught glimpses of myself in the mirror). When I was taking it off at the end of the day, I realized that it was a size down from my norm.

2.) After 7 weeks of calorie tracking and hard exercise, I've been barraged by comments asking if I recently got a haircut because I look different. Only one guy figured it out (he's been on a weight loss journey himself) - he straight out said 'you've lost a ton of weight and look great. Whatever you're doing, keep it up'.

What little wins have you had recently?

    Non-Scale small victories are awesome.

For me in the last 2 weeks:
    • I am on the last hole of the belt I've been using to keep my old jeans up because I refuse to buy more jeans until I get closer to target
    • I picked up a pair of trousers that I bought but had never worn from about a year ago because they were too tight, they are now baggy.
    • I can now jog for about 20 minutes without feeling like I am going to die (without being chased by zombies)

Nice - the belt thing is awesome. I'm going to have to break out a hammer and nail soon to add a couple of holes to mine, too!

That's great re: the jogging...it's amazing how after all of the work we put in, we rarely stop to do an A/B comparison and to celebrate how far we've come. I remember struggling on my elliptical when I first got it and feeling totally wiped out each use. Now my normal 'easy' speed is what I would have considered the top of an HIIT interval back then (I was severely out of shape and unexercised).
