I've had a flare up of psoriatic arthritis and can no longer do squats and lunges due to knee pain. Can you please suggest other simple, multi-muscle group exercises, preferably for the lower body, to replace these in my workouts? Thanks

Would bridges work?1

Maybe Step Ups?0

Planks, leg lifts.0

what are your goals? does the alternate have to be a strength exercise? Lots of people with bad knees switch to cycling or elliptical to keep their legs strong and healthy.0

I agree with stopping the lunges. Step ups would be just as bad.
Do you high bar or low bar squat? Big difference with knees when it comes to autoimmune diseases.
Conventional deadlifts & RDLs have been better for me than stiff leg. Glute ham raises are a decent option as well.0 -
Kettle bell swings? Farmers carry? Waiter carry?
Dunno about dead lifts if having probs with squat, IMO.
No split squat with body weight only?
Consider doing with lighter weights with dumbells? Single leg exercises?0 -
Good mornings, reverse plank, glute bridge or hip thrusts, cable kickbacks...0

Have you tried box squats? Much smaller range of motion and I agree on straight leg deadlifts and will add barbell rows.0

Maybe one legged deadlifts with just bodyweight or a light dumbbell.0
