Breastfeeding - looking for friends

I just had my 6 week postpartum checkup after having a beautiful little girl. My doctor cleared me to resume exercise and we talked about what safe weight loss would look like for me, since I am exclusively breastfeeding. He said my first priority was to stay hydrated if I wanted to keep up my supply, then I could set a target of 1500-2000 calories, while reducing carbs and focusing on good fats and proteins. So, here I am.

I am 24 and I weigh 195 lbs now (I am 5'4"). My current goal is 175 (where I was pre pregnancy), but I plan to continue after that.

Exercise has been tricky to fit into while watching baby girl, but I have a good stroller and have been getting good walks in. I also like to follow along with workout videos on youtube in my living room, so feel free to suggest your favorites. I will have access to a gym this fall when school starts (I am a full time college student) and love to go there, however, for the summer, I can't go.

I would love some buddies, especially new breastfeeding moms.

Hi there! Sounds like we are in the same boat. I'm EBF, 11pp, and I'm looking to loose about 37lbs w/out effecting my milk supply. With my first, I was told to take in more electrolytes bc I was working out a lot but also getting dizzy throughout the day. That really seemed to help and I'm making sure to do the same this time around. My goal is to be as low carb as possible (I'm a vegetarian, so that proves to be a challenge at times). I also want to do cardio workouts as well as some plyometrics, 5 days a week.
