Do Tattoos Change After Weight Loss?

Has anyone noticed any changes in their tattoos after weight loss? I have heard of them distorting after weight loss, and I am a bit worried about mine. What are your experiences?

I imagine they would if the loss is significant and depending on where it is too

I've noticed my "Juicy" tramp stamp isn't as bold and pronounced looking as it was before.

Would you say it's less juicy? Like maybe it's been juiced...

Hey! I have tattoos and am losing weight. I've lost about 10 lbs since my last tattoo which is a portrait on the outside of my thigh. He still looks great. When the weight comes off slowly, the tattoos are less likely to distort as the skin firms up and bounces back. I don't have any lose skin after a 70 lb weight loss a few years ago. I am now working on a 40lb weight loss. I have an arm tattoo coming up at the very end August and hoping to lose about 10 more lbs by then.

I have a tattoo on my belly. It got stretched when I was pregnant. It still has the same shape, but looks faded. If you get really close you can see stretch marks under it.

I realize thia is an old topic, but I found it on a search so thought I'd offer my input.

I have a phrase on my rib cage that is nearly illegible after a significant weight loss. Once I am closer to goal I plan to have a consult to see what my options are as far as a cover up. Hopefully I can get it looking amazing again since my goal is to be in a bikini by next summer.
