Start weight was 11 stone 4. My bmr is around 1600 calories a day. i eat 1200 daily and log everything for past 4 weeks. week 1 was diet. week 2 diet and 3.5 mile walk daily. week 3 cross trainer 10k daily. week 4 15k cross trainer daily in my heart rate fat burning zone. i've only lost 4 pounds so far! i did this last year and lost 1 stone in 6 weeks. what am i doing wrong this team? i only have 7 weeks to lose 10 pounds to fit into my wedding dress. (was 10 stone 5 when i got it) Any tips please. putting in a lot of effort and it's coming off too slow compared to last time.

Oh and for wedding dress has seamstress let it out a little.3

10 stones is 14 lbs. That would be a weightloss of 2lbs per week. I'm sorry love, but it's not going to happen as you'd need to eat 7000kcal less per week, or 1000kcal per day. Your starting weight is too low for that. And lets be honest: if you go crazy now you'll be burned out and look terrible at your wedding day and you will have lost a lot of muscles instead of fat, meaning you'll still not fit into your dress even if you somehow manage to get down to your goal weight. Please use the time you have to take care of yourself and to find a brilliant wedding dress seamstress. It's not worth the stress! I'm sure you'll look brilliant.11

I'd suggest getting some weights in there as you need to lose inches more than pounds (noones going to see your weight) also if you've increased your exercise significantly you'll be retaining water weight (do not stop doing exercise to drop water weight as I said inches is more important) make sure you're logging accurately have you a digital scale? It's gonna be tight. Keep on keeping on and get the tape measure out it is far more important than the scale, I'm assuming you know your measurements from your fitting.5

You'll make it. I looked at your diary. One thing I do is have a giant green salad for lunch to lose weight. Try that? Maybe replace the mac&cheese with a big salad? Avoid processed/packaged foods that might have a lot of sodium, since they can make you retain water. Try to cook everything from scratch (ex: grilled chicken on a pan).9

Eat your calories, try not to overdo it. That will only wear you out and maybe cause a rebound after the wedding.
A pound a week is fabulous and healthy.3 -
Get some good foundation garments - like spanx if your dress still won't fit and you can't get it taken out more. They really work wonders.2

thanks guys. Just seems strange this time as my last weight lose diary it would have been 1 pound in 2 days, nothing for a week and then drop 3. Ill keep at it. i've started free weight regime as well. dress fits in hips and waist but it's my back and chest that's got bigger. Is it possible my body has got used to the cross trainer already? cardiac is cardio and i'm definitely burning more than what i eat.0

You have continuously upped your exercise over the past few weeks. This will cause a certain amount of water retention, hiding some of the weight you have lost.
Keep up with it, and the free weights that you have just mentioned, but back off 5-7 days before the wedding. This will help you shed the extra water weight you are carrying before the wedding.
You will probably have a day when you can't stop peeing (I do) that is why you need that last week with less exercise, the day can't be predicted.
Oh, and keep your cals at 1lbs a week, max. You really don't want to look exhausted and drained on the big day.
Enjoying the day is more important than a few pounds.
Cheers, h.2 -
Why would you buy a dress that is too small?3

She didn't. She was smaller when she bought it, as she says in her post.3 -
If your bmr is 1600 and you're eating 1200, you should be losing without exercising. (I wouldn't recommend eating under your bmr though...). Do you mean your tdee is 1600?0

i think so. use my calculated bmr along with jawbone up and it ain't that far off.0

oh and another .6 lb. i'm getting there! i'm into the 10 13 range now. need to get down to 10 5 (which far my height is still too much and where i plateaued last year)0
