Halloumi addiction

Hi everyone, random topic but I think I may be addicted to halloumi! I have it almost everyday, if not everyday, between 50-100 grams. I just wondered, as long as I am still sticking within my calorie limit, will eating halloumi so often hinder my weight loss at all? As recently I have felt my weight loss slow down and stop for a week or so, and wondered if this could be the reason?

Is it cheese? Cheese can be calorific. Log it and make it work, or cut back. The key to weight loss is to stay within your recommended calorie goal - it doesn't matter what foods you eat.

Halloumi is pretty high in sodium, so it's possible that you are retaining water as a result.

Even if it causes water retention, that's not fat. Water weight also won't keep increasing.

Halloumi is delicious, and contributes to nutrition. It shouldn't hinder your weight loss, within your calorie goal.

I ate plenty of cheese, including salty cheese like feta, while losing 60+ pounds and reaching a healthy weight (BMI 21, 130 pounds at 5'5").
