    I dont really get the accusations of whitewashing/blackwashing that I have seen. The story is an american adaptation so it it going to be full of americans which "shockingly" are going to be white and black more than asian.

    If the netflix version was set in Japan etc and stared white actors, sure, that would likely be white washing.
