Is frozen food supposed to be weighed before or after cooking? Example: chicken tenders.

Weigh it frozen before you cook it, as it's easier to deal with that way. Use the USDA database chicken light meat raw, or use the nutrition facts label.

The USDA database also has listings for many meat items cooked, so you can do it that way if you want.

If it's one of those already cooked frozen crispy chicken tenders, I weigh it before microwaving. But if it's fresh raw chicken tenders I weigh it after cooking. I'm not sure if there's a wrong or right way, honestly I don't think it makes much of a difference because I'm still losing the weight. I think because I consistently walk everyday, even if I make minor errors of my calories intake I'm still in a deficit.

Just make sure you use the right database entry: Raw if raw, cooked if cooked, specific cooking method where available/relevant (e.g, grilled vs boiled). Since I'm a veggie, I don't know about frozen chicken . . . most frozen veggies have calorie/grams on the packaging, so i use that. :)
