Making Myself a Priority

My doctor told me I have to make myself a priority so here I am committing to doing it TEN DAYS AT A TIME.

07/03 230.0 - tracked my calories & water intake in MFP & spent 4 hours painting the master bedroom

07/04 228.2! Woot! I'm guessing eating & getting my water in had a lot to do with this. I spent another 3 hours painting yesterday (house feels like new). Today will be spent at the lake with family, friends & food. I got this

07/05 230.2 I may be up up that's ok. I watched what I ate & was very active all day. I did not drink enough water (or anything else).

07/06 229.4 I'll take it. I went back to work (after a wonderful 12 day vacation) & always struggle to get my water & lunch in then came home to a teenager with heat exhaustion (poor kiddo).

07/07 No scale or internet access (softball)
07/08 No scale or internet access (softball)
07/09 No scale or internet access (softball)

07/10 228.8. Whew! A little worried after sitting all day & eating concession lunches/dinners.

    @wen062475. Hard to do this on your own. Consistency is the key to making this work.

    You are doing well so far.

    UAC may be able to help you (It's a challenge here on MFP). Targets are to daily track what you eat, keep under your budget and get 20 mins of exercise daily. Great group to be involved with (very supportive). It's an open group so you can see how it all works at - http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/121364-ultimate-accountability-challenge-july-2017. You could even join in for the rest of the month :)

    Another challenge that may help is Biggest Loser - http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/113559-the-biggest-loser-monthly-challenge. It's a weight focused challenge, and unfortunately July is closed, but August will open up in 3 weeks.

    Keeping a log is essential. Helps you see what you are really doing and helps you see how far you have come.

    Support from others is also essential. Join a group or regular discussion. Most are happy to help as a lot hear are facing similar struggles to what you are.
