If I understand your question, the easiest way for me to measure is by using a food scale. It takes the guessing out of weighing and calculating how much you are eating. When you can measure in grams, ounces, lbs and milliliters it helps a lot.2

The best course of action is to buy a food scale.2

I agree. Search for foods USDA {desired food, specify raw or cooked} in grams.0

Hi @rainie0, as the others above have said, the best thing you can do is buy a food scale.
This will help with accuracy.
Digital ones are the best. ($10-20).
You can put a bowl or plate on it then tarre ( there is a button you press that will take the measurement back to 0 even with something on the scale) and add food item by item tarring as you go.
Ie: plate, tarre,
chicken breast, skinless, boneless, USDA= 120g at 165 cals
Tarre
(The usda is a good source for single items)
Potato, boiled, skin on, no salt, USDA= 104g at 155 cals.
Tarre
Cauliflower, USDA, = 53g at 27 cals
Tarre
Butter, salted, USDA, =5g at 75cals
(An example, not accurate measurements/cals)
There you have your plate with your dinner on it, no messy cup, and an accurate count to enter into your data base.
If something is a different portion size than what you are having hit the button and there should be a drop down, you can change this to 1g. Then at the how many portions put in 53 ( as in the cauliflower above).
It takes a while to get the correct entries so it is slow going at first, once you have the entry in your data base though it will be easy to keep using it.
With pre packaged foods always pay attention to the serving size grams, not the cup measurement, weigh it, even a single serve pack, and use an entry that matches what is on the package. (You have no need to eat the whole serving, you can have a portion of it or two of them if you wish)
Liquids, use liquid measuring cups and spoons.
Cheers, h.
PS, it is best not to type in capitals as it is hard to read. Regular writing- punctuation and grammar work well0 -

You could start by turning caps off. It's not very nice to read.2
