Hi - just started back on MFP. Logged in yesterday's gym activity. Do we not get food points for strength training, only cardio? Also, any advice for managing those extra points - eat em, not, eat half - what works for you?

MFP is set up to record weight and reps for strength, because calculating calorie burn is a crapshoot - they have no idea how long it took you to do those reps etc. There is a strength training entry under cardio, however.

A lot of people recommend only eating half or so of the exercise calories back as they can be well overestimated. See how you go and if you're losing faster than expected, eat more of them.

Are you logging your strength training under the strength or cardio section? Searching and logging it under cardio will give you calories.

Most people recommend starting by eating half due to inflation and re-evaluate in a few weeks based on the data. If you're losing quicker than anticipated, eat more back; if you're losing slower than anticipated, eat less back, etc.

Sounds like you're logging in the tracking section rather than the "I want calories for this" section. They really should make it more clear. Under cardio search for "strength training" - then accept the fact it is probably in no way accurate because strength training is really hard to actually calculate calories for.
