I wish they made a high protein donut

I can handle the sugar, don't mind the calorie-bomb aspects, the problem is donuts screw with my macros. I wish I could get a good dose of protein along with my apple fritter / buttermilk bar fix.
Anyone feel me on this?

Have you ever thought about making your own and seeing if you can get some protein powder in them? I have made baked donuts before (I know, I know, not the same as fried) and they turned out pretty good.1

We have a local company that makes them. The Muscle Donut (yes, really). You have to order them and pick them up once a week. They make them out of their kitchen. Check Facebook and see if you have anyone locally like this.
Just a note - I didn't think they were that great. Texture isn't the same.1 -

I have mostly eliminated donuts, except on very rare occasions-- too sweet and oily!
If you want a sweet with some protein, consider a cannoli. I'm not claiming it's hugely healthy, but authentic ones are made with ricotta cheese.1 -
Oh, but someone does! Buy some silicon donut molds online. Then search these discussion forums for "protein donut" The someone is you, of course, but the ideas you can pick up here are fabulous.1

Step 1. Cut your donut in half
Step 2. Put a heaping pile of eggs and bacon and cheese inside
Step 3. Eat
There ya go, a donut full of protein!
(But for real, breakfast sandwiches made with glazed donuts are the best thing ever)5 -
THEY DO!!! checkout the dough bar donuts. They all have around 11-14g protein per donut. https://www.doughbardoughnuts.com/collections/doughnuts/products/this-week-only-froot-loops

Now seriously considering ordering a milkshake and just dumping some protein powder into it...1 -
check out kodiak cakes (flapjack and waffle) mix; kodiakcakes.com has some nice recipes. they use just water for many of the recipes, I use premier protein shakes to add more protein.1

Those doughnuts look like bagels! I bet the texture is a bit naff, have tried protein choc and protein cookies and they are great snacks and all but the texture is changed with the protein powder addition.0
