I saw a guy at 24 fitness In Costa Mesa, CA legit take out a big bowl of food and ate it on one of the benches in the middle of the gym. Shakes, bars, snacks etc, I get it. But a whole entree lol? . I know people do it to stay on track with their competition diet... but those who don't, what are your opinions about it?

Just wrong. You smell their food, they smell your sweat while eating.

My opinion is that you like to stir stuff up. ;)

To each their own. I wouldn't want to be eating in the gym but if I was that jammed up on time and it was that or not eating I'd probably make the exception. No telling what his schedule was, I'd just shrug it off and have an issue if he wouldn't move to let someone use the bench who needed it.

Would not be permitted in my gym The owner would tell you off in no uncertain terms and cancel your membership

I'd be annoyed if the gym was busy and he was taking up a bench. Otherwise, I get that people are busy and go from work-to gym-to wherever else, and that might have been a lot easier than eating standing up outside in the non-AC street, cramped car, subway, etc..

I think it's silly, but I wouldn't care per se.

I've eaten at the gym...but it was after my workout and I was in the office talking to my buddy/coach. I had to go from there, directly to a work training thing so I had about 15-20 minutes after my workout to scarf down some food.

Granted, I go to a small, private studio gym and the owner is my coach.
