maximizing protein absorbtion?

I remembered hearing that only so much protein could be absorbed at a time, so I Googled "protein absorption rates" and found a whole ton of conflicting information. I have no idea what to focus on or what's true.

I want every protein gram to count as much as possible and am trying to figure out how to time my intake. Gaining strength is one of my goals.

I think it's true that your body can only absorb protein so quickly. But not true that if you eat more than that limit, it'll go to waste; you'll hold on to it until it can be absorbed. We evolved from hunters and gatherers who would feast when there was a fresh kill, we probably wouldn't be here if they had to carefully measure and time their protein intake.

I really hope I'm not peeing it out. Although, I doubt our ancestors cared too much about fine tuning their physique, nor do I think these goals play much into evolutionary survival. And nutritional deficiency did kill off more of our ancestors before they had the chance to get old enough to die of what kills us these days.

Essentially, your body delays absorption. Below is a good explanation of it
