Is it meant to get easier?

Hi Team,
It's nearly the end of my first week of using MFP and my first week living in a calorie deficit, I'm looking to loose a 14lb from 161. Not a great deal I know, but that's a lot of weight for my small frame. My trouble is that the first few days in my calorie deficit I really struggled. It might be the Catholic in me but I drew confidence from suffering in hunger. However the last 3 days I haven't really struggled at all and the hunger pains have either been non existent or have been well satisfied by my limited portions. Should I be worried that I have not been counting correctly? I weigh everything that goes into my belly. Could there be somewhere else I am going wrong? Or am I worrying for nothing?

your calorie deficit seems pretty aggressive. with only 16 pounds to lose, you should really be aiming for .5 pound per week loss. adjusting your goal should give you some more calories to play with and have you feeling less hungry.2
